We collect what's needed to register your domain, take payment, and run your site. Nothing else, and we don't sell any of it.
What we collect
When you search for a domain
The domain name you type is sent to a DNS lookup service and, if it looks available, to our domain registrar to confirm and price it. We cache results briefly to keep the search fast. Searching does not require an account and we do not build a profile from it.
When you buy
Our payment provider collects your name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment details. Card numbers never reach our systems — payment details go directly to the payment provider.
Your name, address, phone, and email are also passed to the domain registrar. This is required: ICANN rules obligate registrars to hold accurate registrant contact details for every domain. This is not optional and is not something we do for marketing.
We separately store the business name you gave us, the domain, your email, and the status of your order so we can build and support your site.
WHOIS and public records
Domain registrations appear in public WHOIS records. Our registrar applies WHOIS privacy by default, which substitutes their contact details for yours in the public record. Your real details are still held by the registrar and disclosed to the registry as required.
Who we share it with
We use these processors, and only for the purpose listed:
- Payment provider — payments, subscriptions, invoices, billing portal
- Domain registrar — domain registration and registrant records
- Hosting and DNS provider — serving your site, DNS, order storage
- Email provider — your mailbox at your domain
- Transactional email service — order and service notifications
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Analytics and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. If we add analytics we will update this policy first and keep it to aggregate traffic measurement.
How long we keep it
Order and billing records are kept while you are a customer and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Registrant details are held by the registrar for the life of the domain registration, as ICANN requires. Site files are deleted 90 days after termination.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Some data can't be deleted on request — registrant records must be retained while a domain is registered, and billing records must be kept for tax purposes. We'll tell you plainly which category anything falls into.
Email hello@gwdesignz.com for any of these.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Credentials for our providers are stored as secrets, not in our code. We are a small business, not a bank — we take reasonable measures, but no service can promise perfect security.
Children
This service is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and email active customers when the change is material.
